I know I was said I was going to talk about another restaurant this week but I recently ran into something this week that I need to get out. I saw Rocky Horror Picture Show at the PMU. It was the worst piece of crap I have seen in all my years on this earth. It started out weird and confusing for me, having never seen it, and devolved into the most perverted, most incomprehensible, and stupidest piece of shit that I have ever seen being made into film. I went with a group of friends where some had seen it. They all assured me that it was weird but the didn’t convey on what kind of atrocity it was on. One member of the group left before seeing it, and I envy her. I wish I could wash out the memory of this film. I left half way in and that much is still to much for me. I can’t say it enough, if someone invites you to see Rocky Horror Picture Show, turn around and sprint the other way. It is like those mean kids who told you to watch Two Girls one Cup, a film famed for its atrocity and disgustingness unmatched by any other video. I can’t say this enough, “DON’T GO SEE ROCKY HORROR PITCTURE FILM.”
I have not seen Rocky Horror Picture Show, so thank you for the warning. However, did you have to mention Two Girls one Cup? I haven’t even seen this video either, but I am still recovering from the horrors my own imagination have created, so thank you for taking me back to that dark place. I enjoyed reading you colorful language in this post; it was quite entertaining to read. I especially like how you threw in “atrocity”; very dramatic. I think you should give a brief summary of the half that you did manage to sit through so those who haven’t seen it can know what they are missing. On a more critical note, do you really think that “all [your] years on this earth” has much weight with the reader? Are you like a person who doesn’t age, or ages really slowly? It would be cool if that were the case. (ENGL 106)
ReplyDeleteHere is a more professional summery. I did the earlier one at around 2 in the morning just to get some of the emotions out.
ReplyDeleteHere is the summary that I could pick up over the stupid, perverted and insane things other people were doing.
I couple’s car breaks down and the stop at a near by castle/ house to use their telephone. When the get into the house the find the master, without in exaggerations, a transsexual, transvestite, from Transylvania, who is a made scientist who wants to create a dude who will fuck him/her. As the couple enters show towns, sex that swing more ways then I knew, and inanely stupid jokes ensue. All this is spliced in with some guy talking in an office. While a entourage of mostly scantily clad women reenacting the crud and perverted scenes of the movie on stage.
The whole thing was a impossible mess. I thought I had walk into a cult, and where for them to start sacrificing people on stage while the crowd screams for more. Relatively normal people that I had known were going bat shit crazy during the time I was there. I would also not have begrudged somebody if they thought this was some fucked up version of a peep show.
I actually did go and see the Rocky Horror Picture Show on Friday night. One of my good friends on the dorm floor was the main character in the play (he was Brad) so I went with a bunch of friends from my dorm floor to go see the play. I had never seen the movie or the play beforehand and I would say that overall, the experience was very odd and interesting in some ways. My friend in the play did warn us that it would be very different and a lot more awkward than a normal play. The one main thing that bothered me most in the play was the fact that the movie was playing in the background as the play was going on. Throughout the play, I found myself just mostly watching the movie and not really focusing on the play. In terms of the actual storyline (of the movie and play), the experience was somewhat fun and the movie was pretty cheesy, but it is an 80’s movie. I think that the play would have been a lot better if it was a traditional play without the movie playing in the background. (ENGL 106)
